ABOUT ME

My story with SAFE+ began after I lost my job while dealing with an illness no doctor could explain. Suddenly, I had no certainty left. Not in my health, not in my work, and not in the simplest parts of daily life, like eating out.

Traveling became difficult. I couldn’t eat gluten or dairy, and every dinner, every trip, every hotel required hours of research to stay safe. I realised I had assumed that restaurants and hotels knew exactly how to support guests with food restrictions, but the more I looked, the less true that became.

Everything changed during a family trip where we chose a resort specifically because it catered safely for people with food allergies. Once there, I saw a dedicated allergen section filled with guests who told me the same story.

One person with a food allergy decides where the whole travel party goes.

Even in a calm period, the resort was at 95% occupancy. And most families were there for the same reason we were.

That’s when it became clear: this isn’t a niche problem.

It’s a hospitality opportunity that most hotels underestimate.
